Le concept de cette exposition textile à Vivoin, dans le centre culturel de la Sarthe reposait sur le symbole de la trinité, incarné par les trois colonnes visibles sur les photos. Au fil des dessins préparatoires, l’idée a évolué vers une installation où chaque colonne se pare d’une jupe ou d’un jupon, donnant naissance à cette “trinité juponnante”.
Les chapiteaux ornés de motifs floraux ont également nourri mon inspiration, influençant à la fois la création des pièces et leur mise en scène autour des colonnes.
L’atmosphère du lieu, la présence du gisant, et la lumière dorée du soir ont conféré à l’installation une douceur singulière. L’ensemble dégage une sensation de sérénité, comme une suspension hors du temps.
The concept of this textile exhibition in Vivoin, at the cultural center of Sarthe, was based on the symbol of the Trinity, embodied by the three columns visible in the photos. Through successive preparatory sketches, the idea evolved into an installation where each column is adorned with a skirt or petticoat, giving rise to this “petticoated Trinity.”
The capitals, adorned with floral motifs, also served as a source of inspiration, influencing both the creation of the pieces and their arrangement around the columns.
The atmosphere of the space, the presence of the recumbent statue, and the golden evening light lent the installation a singular softness. The whole ensemble exudes a sense of serenity, as if suspended outside of time.
