Creux Bleu
20 x 20 x 20 cm
Linen tow, Linen String, Hot dyed

This is one of my earliest sculptures and a foundational piece in the development of my sculpted flax technique — at the crossroads of sculpture, basketry, and weaving. I named it Creux Bleu (“Blue Hollow”) because of its shape, reminiscent of a nest, a hollow tree, or a natural cavity.

Over time, the blue pigments have gently faded — and I feel that these subtle changes, brought by the years, make it even more beautiful.

Today, this piece is part of a private collection in London.
